Job summary

Prysmian Group is seeking a Senior Product Development Engineer for the Data Center segment. The role supports the rapidly expanding data center market by connecting customer demand with product capabilities and leading the development of new products to address market opportunities.

You will attend data center conferences and interact with customers and suppliers to gather insights and drive product strategy.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree (Electrical, Mechanical, Materials).
• 5+ years of product development engineering experience.
• Wire and cable industry experience.
• Data center experience.
• Experience with UL, CSA and NEC.
• Ability to work onsite 5 days per week.
• Leadership.
• Travel 20-30%.

Responsibilities

• Attend industry conferences - Represent Prysmian interests at data center shows and events.
• Engage with customers and suppliers - Gather information, understand needs, build relationships.
• Actively engage on cable specifications committees - UL, CSA, IEC, NEC and customer specs.
• Connect market demand to product needs - Understand products and market needs.
• Lead new product development - Define and develop products for data center segments.
• Respond to market changes - Adapt to evolving customer needs.
• Manage the full product lifecycle - From concept to launch and ongoing cost improvements.
• Collaborate cross-functionally - Work across sites to support data center initiatives.
• Travel to customer sites and events - 20-30% travel.
