Job summary

Prysmian seeks a Senior Product Development Engineer to drive new data center cable solutions. You will translate market needs into product capabilities, lead development, and engage with customers, suppliers, and standards bodies.

Travel 20–30% and work across multiple sites to deliver high‑performance cable systems. The role demands strong leadership, deep technical expertise in wire and cable, and hands‑on experience with data center products, standards, and lifecycle management.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree required with relevant discipline (Electrical, Mechanical or Materials).
• 5+ years in product development engineering, leading or contributing to technical projects.
• Direct wire and cable industry experience with knowledge of constructions, materials, standards, and lifecycles.
• Experience with UL, CSA and NEC standards, testing, and certification processes.
• Ability to interpret and develop cable specifications including performance criteria and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Attend data center industry conferences and represent Prysmian at events.
• Engage with customers and suppliers to gather needs and influence market decisions.
• Work on cable specifications committees (UL, CSA, IEC, NEC) and align market needs with products.
• Lead new product development from concept through launch for data center applications.
• Collaborate across sites and functions to support data center initiatives and travel 20–30%.
