Job summary

Fermi America seeks a Data Center Procurement Manager to own preconstruction strategy and execution for the data center program, guiding packages from scope through award and construction readiness.

Responsibilities include GMP and lump-sum negotiations, schedule integration, budget alignment, and the formal handoff to construction. This role requires deep experience in data-center procurement and owner-side management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CM, engineering, supply chain or related field or equivalent experience.
• Experience leading preconstruction procurement on large capital programs.
• Ability to manage budgets, schedules, and risk across multiple packages.
• Strong negotiation and contracting skills with vendors and contractors.
• Proficiency with Oracle Unifier and familiarity with Oracle Fusion is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end preconstruction process for data center packages, from scope to construction mobilization.
• Lead contracting strategy, including delivery model, risk allocation, and pricing.
• Develop and execute GMP and lump-sum negotiations with partners and trade contractors.
• Maintain preconstruction schedules aligning milestones, procurement lead times, and permits.
• Manage budgets and estimates, ensuring alignment with committed costs.
• Coordinate handoffs at construction start and manage owner-side procurement execution.
• Oversee long-lead equipment procurement and owner-furnished contractor-installed equipment.
• Lead bid package development, evaluation, and award with the technical specialist.
