Job summary

Yondr Group is seeking a qualified Preconstruction Manager to lead all preconstruction activities for data center projects from concept through handover. The role covers due diligence, budgeting, scheduling, design coordination, estimating, risk management, and value engineering to align scope, budget, and schedule with stakeholders.

You will collaborate with architects, engineers, operations, IT, and finance to ensure design decisions meet technical requirements while controlling costs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in preconstruction or estimating, including 3+ years on mission-critical or data center projects.
• Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and organizational skills with stakeholders and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Lead preconstruction efforts from market evaluation through design, permitting and hand off.
• Select, negotiate, and contract design vendors (architects, engineers, consultants).
• Oversee vendor performance to ensure timelines, scope, and quality.
• Collaborate with operations, IT, and real estate to align design with tech and budget.
• Prepare and maintain detailed preconstruction schedules and CapEx budgets.
• Assist in contractor prequalification, bids, and contract negotiations.
• Support procurement of long-lead items and key equipment.
