Job summary

Yondr Group is seeking a qualified Preconstruction Manager to lead and manage all preconstruction activities for data center projects from concept through construction handover. This role includes due diligence, budgeting, scheduling, design coordination, estimating, risk management, and value engineering.

The successful candidate will collaborate with architects, engineers, internal stakeholders, contractors, and vendors to ensure alignment of scope, budget, and schedule, and will oversee cost

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in preconstruction or estimating, with at least 3 years in mission-critical/data center projects.
• Strong understanding of data center systems including electrical, mechanical, and structural components.

Responsibilities

• Lead preconstruction efforts from market evaluation to handoff.
• Select and contract design vendors including architects and engineers.
• Oversee vendor performance to meet timelines and quality standards.
• Collaborate with operations, IT, and real estate to align design with budget and needs.
• Prepare detailed preconstruction schedules and capital expenditure requests.
• Provide cost estimates and reports on revisions and changes.
• Assist in contractor prequalification and bid negotiations.
