Job summary

Lease Crutcher Lewis is seeking a Preconstruction Executive to lead and elevate preconstruction strategy for data center and advanced technology work. You will manage client relationships, oversee cost, schedule, and design evolution, and drive best practices across teams.

The role requires deep data center and MEP familiarity, leadership, and a track record of translating complex design and cost information into clear recommendations. Expect client-facing leadership and strategic influence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
• Minimum of 15 years of experience in commercial construction, with at least 5 years in a dedicated preconstruction or project executive role.
• Direct experience in preconstruction or estimating for data center, mission-critical, or other MEP-intensive facility types strongly preferred.
• Familiarity with Uptime Institute Tier standards, ASHRAE guidelines, and other industry frameworks governing data center design and construction.

Responsibilities

• Maintain strategic expertise in evolving construction methodologies, delivery models, and regulatory/code requirements for data centers.
• Lead preconstruction efforts with clarity, urgency, and technical credibility in mission-critical environments.
• Lead presentations for prospective and existing clients articulating project approach and value proposition.
• Mentor and develop the preconstruction team including estimators, preconstruction managers, and project managers.
• Oversee preconstruction across projects and ensure budget continuity, cost certainty, and risk management.
