Job summary

ArchKey Solutions is seeking a Preconstruction Director to lead a team across estimates, design assistance, and procurement for data center projects. The role requires collaborating with design and project delivery to ensure cost-effective execution.

The ideal candidate will have extensive leadership experience, strong negotiation and communication skills, and a track record in managing complex preconstruction efforts for large commercial facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in engineering, construction management, building construction, architecture, or related field.
• Masters degree preferred.
• Extensive experience with value analysis in all market segments and in-depth trade knowledge.
• Strong conceptual estimating skills and experience with budgeting, negotiation and vendor communication.

Responsibilities

• Directs and supervises the preconstruction managers and oversees estimates, design assistance, engineering, scope development, scheduling and subcontractor solicitations.
• Determine which projects to pursue based on capacity and strategic growth.
• Collaborate with design department on design/build and design/assist projects to optimize cost within budget.
• Develop annual budget and manage backlog and project workloads.
• Build and maintain client and subcontractor relationships; conduct regular business development activities.
