Job summary

Delta Electronics Americas in Plano, TX is seeking an R&D Engineer to join ICTBG and support data center power solutions nationwide. You will engage with Sales, Product Management, Engineering, Service, and Design teams while interfacing with customers to deploy and improve solutions.

The role emphasizes power electronics, data center infrastructure, and hands-on technical work, including travel up to 25%, to ensure reliable, scalable power systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (EE) or related field.
• 3–6 years of power electronics experience with low power and medium voltage.
• Hands-on knowledge of data center power infrastructure and critical power systems.
• Experience with UPS, STS, PDU and RPP systems.
• Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis capabilities.
• Experience with enterprise customers or large-scale data centers.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to travel domestically up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site troubleshooting and technical support for Delta data center power products.
• Support customer operational issues across hyperscale and COLO environments.
• Collect and investigate failure information to the factory.
• Travel to customer sites throughout the U.S. approximately twice per month.
• Support development and optimization of Delta ICTBG product portfolio including UPS, STS, PDU, and RPP.
• Work with design and engineering teams to improve the customer experience.
• Develop technical troubleshooting documentation and SOPs/MOPs.
• Train Field Service Engineers and develop training materials.
• Translate customer requirements into actionable technical and design recommendations.
