Job summary

GBA is seeking a Data Center Owner's Representative to act as the Owner's trusted partner across design, construction, commissioning, and turnover of mission-critical facilities. You will lead owner-side meetings, align projects with business objectives, and coordinate with A&E, GC, and vendors to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery with top-quality standards.

You will apply deep MEP and civil/structural expertise, manage large-scale programs (>$100M), and travel regionally/nationally to sites.

Qualifications

• 7–10+ years of progressive experience on large-scale construction projects.
• At least 5 years in mission-critical/data center environments.
• Direct experience with projects valued at $100M+ and fast-track delivery.
• Proven ability to interface with Owners, A&E firms, GCs, and vendors.
• Strong knowledge of MEP systems and civil/structural design.
• Willingness to travel regionally/nationally as required.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary Owner contact through design, construction, commissioning, and turnover.
• Lead Owner-side meetings, steering committees, and milestone reviews.
• Align execution with Owner business objectives, standards, and risk policies.
• Participate in site selection, feasibility studies, and due diligence.
• Review design documents for resiliency, scalability, and code compliance.
• Coordinate with A&E firms to validate constructability and maintainability.
• Provide input on procurement strategy, contract structure, and bids.
• Oversee GC execution of scope, budget, and schedule; manage QAQC.
• Review submittals, RFIs, and change orders on the Owner's behalf.
• Monitor schedule, cost exposures, and contingency usage; report findings.
• Ensure safety and environmental protocols are followed on-site.
• Evaluate equipment submittals and commissioning activities.
• Track deficiencies and drive resolution through QAQC and issue management.
• Support turnover with as-builts, O&M manuals, and operations training.
