Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a data center hardware operations specialist to manage vendor relationships, coordinate hardware installations, and uphold best-practice standards across our facility in Blythewood, SC. The role includes technical support during internal and client calls, CMDB maintenance, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Ideal candidates have an IT background with an associate degree, CCNA and/or A+ certifications, and the ability to lift 40 lbs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's level experience not required, but IT background preferred.
• Associates with IT focus and two years of data-center hardware experience
• Certifications CCNA and/or A+ are desirable
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
• Ability to work under pressure and as part of a team

Responsibilities

• Manage vendors and coordinate hardware inventory and installations.
• Develop and adhere to data center best practices.
• Provide technical assistance during internal and customer calls.
• Develop hardware installation plans in the data center.
• Escalate incidents to upper management.
• Participate in new business opportunities.
• Investigate and implement new hardware technologies.
• Manage hardware inventory and coordinate vendor activities.
• Analyze trends for continuous improvement.
• Maintain and audit the CMDB.
• Support hardware installation and troubleshooting.
• Provide 24/7/365 hardware support.
• Plan and execute hardware installations and changes in the data center.
• Resolve technical issues and support clients and auditors
