Job summary

Jobtailor seeks an on-site Data Center Materials and Facilities Associate to manage inventory, material handling, and customer support within a fast-paced data center environment.

Qualified candidates will have 1-3 years of related experience, strong safety awareness, and the ability to work a 6:00 p.m.–4:30 a.m. shift Thu-Sun. Extensive handling of equipment and adherence to 5S standards are required.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of related experience required.
• Must pass required background checks and drug tests.
• Ability to work the E shift, Thursday-Sunday, 6:00 p.m.-4:30 a.m.
• Knowledge of electrical safety and static discharge hazards and protocols.

Responsibilities

• Provide and maintain effective material orders, customer service, and inventory management
• Handle customer material movement requests
• Load and unload inbound and outbound freight to and from vehicles and containers
• Perform quality checks on inbound and outbound freight, including part numbers, quantities, and condition
• Execute daily inventory cycle counts and replenishment orders for critical spare parts
• Process return shipments of electronic components using warehouse management systems
• Place server racks on the data-center floor using laser measuring devices with 100% accuracy
• Populate electronic components and install cabling into server racks according to diagrams and schematics
• Install rack hardware using hand, power, and measuring tools
• Operate straddle stackers, rack movers, and electric pallet jacks
• Clean the work area to ensure safety, cleanliness, and adherence to 5S standards
• Push, pull, and lift frequently throughout the workday
• Adhere daily to safety and process procedures
• Interact with customers and other stakeholders on site at the data center
• Make confident decisions based on information and data to meet production goals effectively, accurately, and efficiently
• Flexibly cross-train in multiple departments within the data center

Requirements

• Must pass required federal, state, local government, airport, or company background checks and clearances
• Must pass required drug and alcohol tests
