Job summary

Salute Inc. is seeking a Data Center Operations Technician in Union City, GA for a 6pm–6am shift, Wed–Sat. You will install, monitor, and maintain critical DC infrastructure, respond to incidents, and support upgrades.

This remote hands role emphasizes fast, accurate ticket handling and collaboration with remote engineering teams. Required are a high school diploma and 2+ years in DC/colocation environments, with strong cabling, hardware, and documentation skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred.
• 2+ years in data center or mission-critical environments.
• Experience installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting server, storage, and networking gear.
• Structured cabling experience including copper and fiber; patching and testing.
• Familiar with ticketing systems and asset management tools.
• Strong analytical, communication, and multitasking abilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day data center operations and ensure reliable facility performance.
• Respond to incidents, tickets, and change requests promptly and professionally.
• Install, rack, cable, and decommission server, storage, and network gear.
• Prepare equipment with tagging, staging, testing, and documentation.
• Replace failed components and perform basic troubleshooting under guidance.
• Monitor infrastructure using BMS and other tools; escalate as needed.
• Maintain asset records, supports upgrades, and follows SOPs/MOPs/EOPs.
• Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and internal teams on projects.
