Job summary

CyrusOne is seeking Critical Environments Operators to join a 24/7/365 Operations & Maintenance team. You will monitor electrical, mechanical, and HVAC/R systems, respond to alarms, and execute preventive maintenance to keep mission-critical data center infrastructure running reliably.

Level progression from associate to lead operator is available; senior staff mentor others and assist in capacity planning.

Qualifications

• Must maintain a strong safety mindset and follow safety protocols at all times.
• Ability to operate in a 24/7/365 data center environment with a focus on reliability.
• Proven problem-solving and decisive decision-making under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and operate data center mechanical, electrical, and HVAC/R systems to ensure uptime.
• Respond to alarms with priority on protection of critical load and safety.
• Execute preventive maintenance per SOPs and MOPs.
• Use CMMS to track work orders, labor hours, and PMs.
• Coordinate with contractors and vendors; enforce safety protocols.
• Perform equipment modifications and safe working area setup.
• Maintain awareness of policies, procedures and EHS requirements.
• Senior levels: mentor junior operators and participate in capacity planning.
