Job summary

CyrusOne is seeking a Critical Environments Operator to join our 24/7/365 Operations & Maintenance team in Texas. You will monitor electrical, mechanical, and HVAC/R systems, respond to alarms, perform preventative maintenance, and uphold safety and reliability standards.

Open to multiple experience levels, with opportunities to mentor others, lead critical switching events, and contribute to capacity planning and reporting within a fast-paced data center environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor data center mechanical, electrical, and HVAC/R systems to ensure uptime.
• Respond to alarms, prioritize critical loads, and perform root-cause analysis.
• Execute preventive maintenance and follow SOPs and MOPs.
• Use CMMS to track work orders and PMs.
• Coordinate with contractors and vendors; enforce safety protocols.
• Assist with operational modifications and safe switching.
• Mentor junior operators and assist with capacity planning at senior levels.
