Job summary

CyrusOne is seeking Critical Environments Operators to join a 24/7/365 Operations & Maintenance team, keeping data center infrastructure running at peak reliability. You will monitor electrical, mechanical, and HVAC/R systems, respond to alarms, perform preventive maintenance, and document work in a CMMS.

We welcome candidates from associate to senior levels, with a path to mentorship and leadership. The role emphasizes safety, teamwork, and customer service, with opportunities to mentor others

Qualifications

• Clear verbal and written communication skills.
• Solid problem-solving and decision-making ability.
• Proficiency with PCs, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including on-call and emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and operate data center mechanical, electrical, and HVAC/R systems to ensure uptime.
• Respond to alarms, protect critical loads, and analyze root causes.
• Execute preventive maintenance per SOPs, MOPs, EOPs, and PMs.
• Use CMMS to track work orders, labor hours, and PMs.
• Coordinate with contractors and vendors; enforce safety protocols.
• Perform operational modifications and safe working area setup.
• Adhere to all policies and EHS requirements.
• At senior levels: mentor junior operators and participate in capacity planning.
