Job summary

CyrusOne is recruiting for Critical Environments Operators to join our Ashburn-area data centers, supporting 24/7/365 operations. The role covers monitoring, operation, and maintenance of electrical, mechanical, and HVAC/R systems while upholding safety, workmanship, and customer service standards.

Open to levels I–IV with mentorship and growth paths. Expect a fast-paced environment with on-call rotations and opportunities to contribute to capacity planning and incident response.

Qualifications

• Clear verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor data center mechanical, electrical, and HVAC/R systems to ensure uptime.
• Respond to alarms with priority on protecting critical load and root-cause analysis.
• Execute preventive maintenance using SOPs, MOPs, EOPs, and MMRs.
• Use CMMS to track work orders, labor hours, and PMs.
• Coordinate with contractors and vendors; enforce safety protocols.
• Perform operational modifications and safe switching as needed.
• Maintain compliance with policies, procedures, and EHS requirements.
• Senior levels: mentor juniors, lead critical switching events, assist capacity planning.
