Job summary

Core Scientific, Inc. seeks a Data Center Assistant Manager to oversee daily operations, maintenance, and support of high-performance computing infrastructure in our Auburn, AL data centers.

You'll manage staff, ensure uptime, enforce procedures, and collaborate with IT, engineering, and research teams to support compute-intensive workloads. You will also guide deployments, decommissions, asset lifecycle, inventory control, and labor planning, while maintaining safety, quality, and performance

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT/engineering or related field preferred.
• 4 years of data center experience required.
• Previous supervisory/leadership experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Proficiency with Excel and Word and basic IT concepts.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations, maintenance, and support of HPC infrastructure in a data center.
• Manage staff, ensure uptime and reliability, and enforce procedures.
• Collaborate with IT, engineering, and research teams on compute workloads.
• Assist with deployments, decommissions, and asset lifecycle management.
• Oversee warehouse, inventory, shipping/receiving, and quality control.
