Job summary

Novva Data Centers in Sparks, Nevada seeks an Operations & Security Technician to monitor IT, mechanical and power infrastructure, and provide first-line support to customers. You will escort visitors, perform facility checks, and maintain security logs in a fast-paced data center environment.

The role emphasizes customer service, attention to detail, and teamwork, with a 12-hour night shift and weekend coverage. Onsite training is provided over the first 30 days.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Associate’s degree or related experience preferred.
• Drone certification (Part 107) or ability to obtain within 90 days.
• Data center certifications or ability to obtain within 90 days.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Excellent customer service and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and respond to onsite access activity via CCTV and access control software.
• Monitor and respond to alerts from various system monitoring tools
• Identify critical system issues with large scale impact and escalate appropriately
• Provide professional and timely customer service
• Assist customers with troubleshooting and service requests.
• Respond to incidents and requests via phone and IT ticketing system
• Understand basic Windows application/OSI Layer 1 troubleshooting principles
• Provide support to internal teams
• Receive/offload facility deliveries
