Job summary

Prime Data Centers is seeking a Director of Operations Engineering to set technical strategy and lead engineering support for in-service data centers. The role partners with Critical Operations leadership to improve reliability and drive change across the portfolio.

You will own RCAs, establish site engineering baselines, and guide performance improvements while supporting a 24x7x365 operating environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• 8+ years leading engineering teams in critical facilities.
• 8+ years direct engineering experience in data-center or critical environments.
• Experience leading formal RCAs and corrective actions.
• Familiarity with NFPA 70E/70B, NEC, OSHA.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead a team of operations/reliability engineers (electrical, mechanical, controls).
• Serve as the senior technical escalation path for CFMs and CEs on complex issues.
• Establish intake/triage/response model for site engineering requests with defined SLAs.
• Own RCA program and coordinate with OEMs and vendors.
• Develop portfolio-wide reliability program including PM optimization.
