Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated is seeking an Assistant Chief Engineer - Critical Environments to supervise operating engineers on site in Richardson, TX. You will oversee maintenance, ensure uptime of critical systems, and coordinate with contractors to maintain safety and efficiency of building services.

The role requires hands-on data center experience, strong leadership, and the ability to manage preventive maintenance programs across electrical, mechanical, and life-safety systems.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in a data center/critical facility including UPS, generators and switch-gear.
• High school diploma or GED; related supervisory experience.
• License or certification as Operating Engineer or equivalent.
• EPA 608 and Universal Technician for CFCs desirable.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct maintenance staff on shift.
• Oversee preventative maintenance with minimal disruption to services.
• Ensure building systems operate safely and efficiently (HVAC, electrical, fire safety).
• Coordinate with contractors and manage inventory and parts.
• Maintain records of rounds, readings and logs.
