Eccalon LLC is seeking an Assistant Director of Data Center Operations in Detroit to lead day-to-day operations, ensure high availability, and drive capacity planning across enterprise data centers. You will partner with IT, network, security, and cloud teams to optimize infrastructure performance and reliability.

The role emphasizes leadership, collaboration, and compliance with security and regulatory requirements, with a focus on incident response and disaster recovery readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, CS, engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years in data center operations or related IT infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of power, cooling, networking, and security.
• Experience with ITSM frameworks (ITIL).
• Experience in government contracting or regulated environments.
• Experience supporting cloud-integrated or hybrid data center environments.
• Proven leadership and communication skills.
• Familiarity with incident and change management.

Responsibilities

• Support management and operation of data center facilities, infrastructure, and systems.
• Oversee power, cooling, physical security, and environmental controls.
• Ensure high availability and performance of mission-critical infrastructure.
• Coordinate maintenance, upgrades, and capacity planning.
• Support disaster recovery, business continuity, and incident response planning.
• Collaborate with IT, network, security, and cloud teams.
• Monitor metrics, service levels, and infrastructure performance.
• Assist vendor management and service provider oversight.
• Document policies, procedures, and operational standards.
• Ensure compliance with security, safety, and regulatory requirements.
