Job summary

ITCAPS LLC is seeking a Data Center Operations Engineer to support day-to-day operations in a large-scale server environment.

The role requires hands-on work with PowerEdge servers, iDRAC, and Linux (RHEL/Ubuntu), plus strong troubleshooting and communication skills. You will perform routine data center tasks, coordinate onsite service activities, manage documentation, and assist with BIOS lifecycle and server patching as needed.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with PowerEdge Rack/Tower servers.
• Strong iDRAC experience.
• Experience with RHEL and Ubuntu Linux.
• Experience working in a large-scale data center/server environment.
• Strong troubleshooting and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Support daily data center activities and proactively monitor the environment.
• Perform routine data center walks and identify/alert on any issues.
• Escort field engineers and coordinate onsite service activities.
• Manage parts through LOIS system; training will be provided.
• Maintain accurate documentation including serial numbers, rack elevations, and runbooks.
• Coordinate customer maintenance activities involving power, cooling, and containment systems.
• Perform BIOS lifecycle management, user administration, and server patching.
• Triage issues with support teams and coordinate break/fix activities.
• Work with the customer team to update server versions and configurations as required.
