Job summary

JLL in Richardson, TX is seeking a Data Center Operations Engineer responsible for delivering best-practice systems and resolving issues across data center electrical and mechanical infrastructure, including UPS, generators, cooling, and switchgear.

Duties include maintaining and monitoring building systems to sustain 100% uptime, performing preventive maintenance, managing CMMS and vendor interactions, and responding to alarms and incidents.

Qualifications

• Hands-on data center/critical facility experience, including UPS.
• Experience with systems, emergency generators, and switchgear.
• High School diploma or GED.
• 2+ years related work experience.
• Working knowledge of Word and Excel.
• Demonstrated verbal/written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, monitor, and perform preventive maintenance and continuous operation of building systems to 100% uptime, including fire/life safety, HVAC, electrical systems, and controls.
• Analyze system performance, identify faults, and take corrective actions.
• Learn the data center site to manage incidents and events that jeopardize critical systems.
