Job summary

CyrusOne Lead Operating Engineer - Critical Environments oversees the maintenance team and the operation of base building and critical system equipment in a data-center setting. You will supervise on-shift staff, direct preventative maintenance, and ensure uptime while following safety and procedural guidelines.

The role requires hands-on facility experience, a valid Operating Engineers license (SMA) or equivalent, and the ability to coordinate with contractors and management to meet operational

Qualifications

• Must have hands-on data center/critical facility experience.
• 5+ years supervisory experience.
• Certification or license requirements to be completed within 90 days.
• Proficiency in written and verbal communication.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Access.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct maintenance staff on shift.
• Monitor performance and ensure efficient completion of maintenance requests with minimal disruption.
• Direct performance of contracted maintenance work and ensure warrantees are honored.
• Maintain and monitor building systems (fire/life safety, HVAC, electrical, pumps).
• Assist Chief Engineer and help implement KPIs and performance plans.
