Job summary

CyrusOne seeks a Critical Environments Operator to support 24/7 operations of mission-critical data centre infrastructure. You will monitor electrical, mechanical, and HVAC/R systems, perform proactive maintenance, and participate in incident responses to uphold high reliability and safety standards.

This role spans from entry to senior levels, with mentoring opportunities, capacity planning, and cross-team collaboration to ensure continuous uptime and excellent customer service across our North

Qualifications

• Strong commitment to safety at all times.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and operate data centre mechanical, electrical, and HVAC/R systems to ensure uptime.
• Respond to building alarms and perform root cause analysis.
• Execute preventive maintenance following SOPs, MOPs, EOPs, and MMRs.
• Use CMMS to track work orders, hours, and PMs.
• Coordinate with contractors and vendors; enforce safety protocols.
• Perform equipment and system operational modifications, including safe switching.
• Maintain compliance with policies, procedures, and EHS requirements.
• Lead or mentor junior operators and assist in capacity planning at senior levels.
