Job summary

CyrusOne is seeking a facilities technician to maintain and monitor critical building systems across data centers. You will perform preventive maintenance and respond to alarms to ensure 100% uptime of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and life-safety equipment.

Required hands-on data center experience, strong computer skills, and the ability to work with CMMS and vendor teams. This role may require walking large campus-like settings, climbing, and responding to site emergencies.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED, plus 2+ years related work experience.
• Hands-on data center experience with UPS, generators, and switchgear.
• Strong computer skills (Word, Excel).

Responsibilities

• Maintain, monitor, and perform preventive maintenance of building systems to ensure 100% uptime.
• Monitor and operate fire/life safety, HVAC, electrical systems, and water heaters.
• Record readings, analyze system operation, and take corrective action.
• Assist with CMMS, vendor management, and customer-facing tickets.
• Respond to alarms and incidents per escalation procedures.
