Job summary

JLL is seeking a Building Engineer for our Data Centers in Columbus, GA. The role focuses on delivering best-practice systems and resolving issues across UPS, MV electrical, generators, cooling, and related infrastructure. You will monitor, maintain, and optimize 24/7 operations to ensure 100% uptime.

You will manage work orders, analyze system performance, and collaborate with vendors. The position requires lifting up to 50 lbs and willingness to work varied shifts, holidays, and on-site at our

Qualifications

• This role requires 2+ years in data center/critical facility experience.
• Experience with UPS, generators, switchgears and building systems is preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, monitor, and perform preventive maintenance for all building systems to ensure uptime.
• Analyze operations, identify causes of malfunctions, and take corrective actions.
• Manage incidents, events, and tickets via CMMS and vendor relations.
• Adhere to safety policies and hazardous materials procedures.
• Participate in site access, escalations, and daily operational tasks.
