Job summary

Purdue University is seeking an entry-level Data Center Operations contributor to support the Purdue system’s computing environment. You will work with management to maintain operations, assist with projects, and help monitor central services across multiple campus sites including West Lafayette.

The role includes coordinating equipment installation and cabling, participating in on-call after hours support, and ensuring HVAC, power, and network connectivity for IT infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or related field required.
• One year of experience in a Data Center Operations, Networking, or other mission-critical environment required.
• Experience with enterprise and research class computing hardware and software and/or experience with construction projects is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in Data Center operations and day-to-day objectives across Purdue system.
• Coordinate equipment installation, physical installation and cabling of data center equipment.
• Monitor and respond to abnormal conditions in facilities systems under supervision.
• Participate in on-call schedules and after-hours support as necessary.
