Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated in Roanoke, TX is seeking a full-time Operating Engineer for the 3rd shift to manage data center mechanical, electrical and control systems. The role requires at least five years of building engineering experience, with HVAC, plumbing, electrical equipment, BMS and UPS/generator systems.

Experience in critical environments and GPS/ATS gear is preferred; you will interact with clients and operate CMMS and MS Office daily.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of technical experience in building engineering with HVAC, plumbing, electrical equipment and system design.
• Experience with Critical Environments including power generators and UPS/battery systems.
• Ability to operate independently with strong interpersonal skills for client interactions.
• Proficient with CMMS and MS Word/Excel/Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Control the daily operation of mechanical equipment in the building and data center.
• Perform maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
• Monitor tenant services, procurement, preventive maintenance, and inventory.
• Manage CMMS tasks, schedule preventive maintenance, and coordinate with vendors.
• Support budgeting, process improvements, and after-hours coverage as needed.
