Job summary

Spectraforce Technologies is seeking a Data Center Technician for Hillsboro, OR. This role involves hands-on hardware installation, network and server setup, and data center maintenance on a 12-hour shift.

The position requires adaptability to fast-paced environments and strong problem-solving skills. Associates or bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in IT/Networking is preferred, with 4–5 years in site support/infrastructure roles and solid data center experience.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required.
• 4-5 years of combined experience in a Site Support Technician and/or Infrastructure Technician role.
• Data center experience required.
• 3-5 years of experience in racking, stacking, connecting, and providing basic configuration support of networking and/or server hardware.
• Experience installing server systems and related components such as networking and storage equipment.
• Familiarity with networking protocols, switches, routers and related components.

Responsibilities

• Install and service low voltage cabling, fiber optic cabling, and related equipment in data center.
• Assist with material control to ensure required materials are available.
• Maintain quality and safety guidelines and adhere to SLAs.
• Provide Incident & Service Request support by coordinating with remote Level 2/3 teams.
• Rack new servers and perform cable management and testing of connectivity.
