Job summary

Vultr is seeking a highly skilled Site Construction Lead to serve as our owner's representative on a live data center construction site — protecting schedule, safety, and acceptance quality on a landlord-controlled project. The ideal candidate reads MEP and architectural drawings fluently and holds GC accountability without direct authority over crews.

This is a highly visible role in a fast-growing tech company with daily site presence and rigorous documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in construction management or engineering.
• 5+ years in mission-critical or large commercial construction in owner-representative roles.
• Ability to read MEP and architectural drawings.
• OSHA 30 or equivalent safety training.
• Experience with hyperscaler clients or colocation build-to-suit preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily site walks and verify progress against the build schedule.
• Review RFIs, submittals, and shop drawings; escalate when landlord/GC response lags.
• Track punch-list items and support acceptance and turnover decisions.
• Serve as the primary day-to-day coordination point with the landlord and GC on a landlord-controlled site.
• Monitor safety compliance and accelerate incidents.
• Maintain photo and log documentation and pay-application support that holds up if a delivery dispute follows.
