Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a highly motivated Network Deployment Planner to join the Global Network Delivery planning team.

You will scope and plan interdependent capacity scaling projects and new network capacity deployments across multiple data center locations to ensure resources are available for execution. You will collaborate with infrastructure supply chain, network engineering, and technical program managers to deliver customer capacity to installation teams, driving smooth

Qualifications

Experience in project management.
Experience with network hardware: copper and optical fiber cabling, switches, routers.
1+ years of relevant discipline work experience.

Responsibilities

Ensure adherence to timelines.
Deliver sustainable and repeatable solutions and processes always with an eye on improvement.
Work closely with Install/Deployment Technicians, Supply Chain & Procurement, Network Engineers and Technical Project Manager teams to ensure fast, smooth delivery of on-demand customer capacity.
Knowledge of network cabling and optic types.
Experience with cabling infrastructure best practices and methodologies.
Familiarity with common networking terms.
Excellent judgement and analytical skills, ability to prioritize tasks based on fluctuating needs. - Strong prioritization and time management ability.
Coordination of design, project timeline/schedule and construction milestones.
Experience in core project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management. Must be well organized and able to work effectively under time pressure.
