Job summary

Barton Malow is seeking an experienced MEP Superintendent to lead on-site field operations for a mission-critical data center near Philadelphia, PA. The role requires expert knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems and a proven track record supervising complex MEP installations on fast-paced projects.

You will coordinate with project management, subcontractors, and design professionals, enforce safety, oversee BIM coordination, and ensure on-time, high-quality delivery of all MEP

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on MEP field supervision on data center projects.
• Deep knowledge of HVAC, electrical power, plumbing in high-rel environments.
• Strong leadership and field coordination across multiple trades.
• Proficient in interpreting drawings and technical specs.
• Familiar with BIM processes and tools (Bluebeam, BIM360, Procore).
• OSHA 30 certification required or ability to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate on-site MEP subcontractors to meet safety, quality and productivity goals.
• Monitor MEP installation per drawings, specs, and codes; coordinate with project team.
• Enforce OSHA policies; act as on-site safety leader for MEP work.
• Lead MEP coordination meetings with management, subs, vendors and design pros.
• Review MEP documentation: drawings, RFIs, submittals, equipment logs.
• Support BIM coordination to resolve field constructability conflicts.
• Collaborate with MEP PM and general superintendent to align field work with milestones.
• Drive short-interval planning and look-ahead schedules for MEP trades.
• Ensure installation, testing, commissioning of HVAC, UPS, generators and power distribution.
• Maintain daily reports on manpower and progress; support QA/QC and turnover.
