Job summary

Switch is seeking a Data Center MEP Field Manager to lead on-site mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection activities for data center projects. You will ensure safe execution, quality installation, and coordination across trades to deliver mission-critical infrastructure.

You’ll resolve constructability issues, review drawings and submittals, and drive scheduling and commissioning efforts with engineering and project management teams.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of experience supporting or leading MEP systems installation on large commercial or mission-critical projects.
• Strong working knowledge of data center MEP systems such as UPS, CRAC or CRAH units, chillers, BMS, and fire suppression systems.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and schedules.
• Experience coordinating subcontractors in an active construction environment.
• OSHA 30 certification.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily on-site MEP construction activities to align with drawings, specifications, and milestones.
• Coordinate mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection subcontractors to ensure integration.
• Enforce site safety standards and OSHA compliance.
• Review drawings, submittals, and shop drawings for constructability and field accuracy.
• Resolve field design issues with engineering and project management.
• Develop and maintain MEP-specific schedules aligned with the project timeline.
• Track progress and identify risks to schedule or quality.
• Oversee testing, balancing, and commissioning to verify performance.
• Ensure quality control documentation, inspections, and sign-offs.
• Provide clear daily and weekly updates on progress and risks.
