Job summary

KODIAK Construction Recruiting & Staffing seeks a Mechanical Quantity Surveyor for a data center project in Houston, focusing on project controls and cost management.

You will provide quantity surveying for mechanical scopes, validate contractor quantities and progress, and collaborate with scheduling to align costs with the schedule. Strong Excel and experience with Primavera P6/Power BI/SAP preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires BS in Construction Management or Engineering or commensurate experience
• 8+ years of industrial construction experience including data centers, LNG, and power facilities
• Experience in estimating, quantity surveying, and cost management
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required
• Familiarity with Primavera P6, Power BI or SAP preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide quantity surveying for mechanical scopes of work on data center projects
• Analyze IFC drawings to prepare BOQs and validate contractor quantities
• Measure contractor progress on site and validate progress claims
• Develop quantity tracking systems and performance reports
• Collaborate with cost engineers and schedulers to integrate costs and schedules
• Support EVM and productivity analysis
• Maintain estimating and quantity tracking databases
• Attend progress and planning meetings and communicate issues
