Job summary

KODIAK Construction Recruiting & Staffing seeks an on-site E&I Project/Construction Manager for a data center in Houston, Texas. You will lead the E&I team during construction, coordinate with owners, engineers, and subcontractors, and ensure safety, cost control, and on-time delivery.

Responsibilities include reviewing proposals, managing budgets, directing procurement and submittals, and maintaining accurate as-built records. Strong leadership and clear communication are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience managing the E&I phase of large data center construction projects.
• 5 years of Construction Manager or Project Manager on large scale projects.
• Demonstrated success in management of large construction projects.
• Working knowledge of plans, owner contracts, subcontracts, POs, drawings and submittals.
• Estimating experience is a plus but not required.
• Ability to work under pressure and coordinate multiple activities and groups.
• Self-motivated with skills to motivate others and strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site technical and administrative management for E&I phases on data center projects.
• Lead development and management of an E&I team during construction.
• Review proposals and documents with project team and Director of Operations.
• Determine cost-effective construction methods and resource use.
• Review and approve subcontractor selections and invoicing.
• Coordinate construction activities with owner, subcontractors, and company personnel.
• Manage project staff including superintendents and assistants.
• Promote safety as a priority throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure accurate cost reporting and budgeting via weekly/labor and monthly reports.
• Lead change orders, billings, and contract revisions; manage procurement and submittals.
• Organize and participate in project coordination meetings; manage closeout.
