Job summary

Jacobs’ Advanced Manufacturing group seeks an experienced Preconstruction Manager - Mechanical to bridge design and construction for major industrial projects. You will lead cross-discipline coordination, review bid packages, and drive constructability insights for HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection on site.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years in mechanical engineering or 15+ years in industrial construction management, a Bachelor's in engineering, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent construction experience.
• 8 years in mechanical engineering or 15 years in construction management for industrial projects.
• Understanding of construction means, methods, codes, and standards.
• Experience interpreting mechanical drawings and specs for construction.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Bridge design and construction gap with focus on HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Protection.
• Lead cross-discipline evaluation of mechanical scope for sequencing and build-out.
• Identify risks and opportunities for schedule/cost savings.
• Coordinate bid packages and vendor data submittals during design.
• Develop comprehensive construction work breakdown structure with stakeholders.
