Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; PE license preferred.
• 8-12+ years of experience designing and delivering mechanical systems for data centers or mission-critical facilities.
• Strong expertise in cooling systems, piping infrastructure, water distribution, plumbing systems, and critical facility design.
• Experience establishing engineering standards, design guidelines, and best practices across multiple projects.
• Proven ability to lead technical teams and mentor engineers in a collaborative environment.
• Knowledge of building codes, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit, and BIM platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and continuous improvement of mechanical and plumbing engineering standards, specs, and guidelines.
• Provide technical oversight for cooling, piping, water distribution, drainage, and supporting infrastructure systems.
• Drive standardization and innovation by evaluating new technologies and vendor solutions.
• Review and approve equipment submittals, technical docs, and design deliverables to align with standards.
• Support value engineering focusing on constructability, reliability, and cost optimization.
• Develop standardized sequences of operation and commissioning requirements with controls teams.
• Collaborate with design, construction, procurement, and operations to improve project delivery.
