Job summary

Meta seeks a Data Center Lead to manage and develop a team of Data Center Technicians at a Meta data center site. You will own shift scheduling, incident leadership, and performance reviews, while upholding safety, standards, and clear communication with cross-functional partners.

The role requires overseeing 24/7 operations, proficiency milestones, and on-site leadership to drive independent operation and high-quality results. Relies on collaboration with ProdOps engineers and SMEs.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of data center, IT, or network operations experience.
• Technical familiarity with server and network hardware, including break/fix, cabling, and optics.
• Experience leading, mentoring, or coordinating the work of others.
• Track record of safety and quality in a hands-on operational environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication, with ability to escalate and represent the team.
• Ability to work onsite and support a 24/7 operation, including on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Directly manage Data Center Technicians; run biweekly 1:1s and growth roadmaps.
• Own site shift schedule, weekend rotation, and on-call coverage.
• Serve as site escalation point and coordinate across functions during incidents.
• Ensure MOP adherence, ticket hygiene, and safety protocols in the data hall.
• Represent the site team in leadership reviews and provide field feedback.
• Coach technicians on responsible AI use and impact on results.
