Job summary

Align Communications is seeking a Technical Project Manager to lead large-scale cabling and data center infrastructure deployments across the U.S. The role focuses on planning, coordination, documentation, reporting, and delivery, with collaboration from clients, vendors, and internal teams.

You will manage schedules, budgets, risks, and ensure on-time and within-budget delivery, with travel up to 50% and potential relocation assistance. Prior AI or hyperscale data center experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years managing data centers or similar IT infra projects.
• Experience leading multiple teams, vendors, and projects.
• Experience managing schedules, budgets, risks, and client expectations.
• Strong organizational, communication, and client-facing skills.
• Proficiency with Excel and PM/reporting platforms.

Responsibilities

• Manage data center cabling and infrastructure projects from planning through closeout.
• Create and maintain schedules, budgets, milestones, risk logs, and resource plans.
• Coordinate with clients, field teams, subcontractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
• Track progress, identify risks, and resolve deployment issues.
• Manage RFIs, change orders, submittals, status reports, and closeout documentation.
• Track materials, equipment readiness, labor, costs, and change orders.
• Lead client and internal project meetings and provide status updates.
• Partner with Superintendents and Foremen to ensure field work meets requirements.
• Support QA/QC, testing, commissioning, turnover, and closeout.
