Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking an ICT Design Engineer to join a global engineering team responsible for designing and delivering ICT pathways, cabling, and associated infrastructure for AWS data centers.

You will collaborate with engineers and managers enterprise-wide to develop solutions for the physical layer. The role emphasizes designing pathways, space, and cabling, engaging with suppliers, and defining product requirements while exploring emerging technologies.

Qualifications

4+ years in industrial or commercial engineering in mission critical facilities
Experience in commissioning of data center equipment and facilities
Knowledge of construction drawings, specs and submittals
Experience researching new designs, technologies, and construction methods
2+ years in data center or mission critical environments

Responsibilities

Ensure timely delivery of scalable ICT pathway, cabling and equipment designs.
Review and approve ICT pathway, cabling and equipment submittals.
Identify and respond to risks and high-priority issues rapidly.
Support new technology and design activities to improve quality and reduce cost/time.
Travel 20+% to review projects and coordinate with onsite personnel and contractors.
