Job summary

REIC Rentals is seeking a Commercial HVAC Service Technician to support data center customers across Northeast Virginia. You will service temporary climate control equipment and ensure peak performance both in shop and at customer sites.

With 3+ years of HVAC experience and strong troubleshooting skills, you will read schematics, install and commission rental gear, and document all work. Limited overtime may apply in a safety‑driven data center environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of commercial HVAC service experience.
• Strong troubleshooting skills in electrical, refrigeration, and mechanical systems.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and blueprints.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Commitment to safety and quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC and temporary climate control equipment supporting data center operations.
• Perform preventive maintenance on air conditioning, heating, ventilation, dehumidification, and power equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, refrigeration, and control system issues.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
• Install, start up, and commission rental equipment at customer sites.
• Provide exceptional customer service and basic operational training to customers.
• Accurately document service work, inspections, and repairs using electronic service systems.
• Travel throughout Northeast Virginia to support customer locations.
• Follow all company and customer safety procedures, including strict data center safety protocols.
