Job summary

REIC Rentals is seeking a Commercial HVAC Service Technician to support our Data Center customers in Northeast Virginia. You will inspect, repair, and maintain temporary climate control equipment, including cooling and dehumidification systems, to keep critical facilities operating safely and efficiently.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of commercial HVAC service experience.
• Experience servicing mission-critical facilities or data centres is highly preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting skills in electrical, refrigeration, and mechanical systems.
• Reading electrical schematics and blueprints.
• EPA Universal Certification preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Willingness to travel throughout the assigned territory and work overtime when needed.
• Strong communication skills and a customer‑first attitude.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC and temporary climate control equipment supporting data centre operations
• Perform preventive maintenance on air conditioning, heating, ventilation, dehumidification, and power equipment
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, refrigeration, and control system issues
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals
• Install, start up, and commission rental equipment at customer sites
• Provide exceptional customer service and basic operational training to customers
• Accurately document service work, inspections, and repairs using electronic service systems
• Travel throughout Northeast Virginia to support customer locations
• Follow all company and customer safety procedures, including strict data centre safety protocols
