Job summary

Johnson Controls in Irving, TX seeks skilled HVAC Mechanics with extensive field experience in commercial systems, piping, and service. You will perform maintenance, repair, and replacement on rooftop units, pumps, chillers, and ammonia/hydrocarbon systems, while upholding safety and quality standards.

You will collaborate with Servicemen, journeymen, and apprentices, travel as needed, and provide quotes for corrective actions and upsell opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum of eight (8) years commercial/industrial mechanical troubleshooting in HVAC or related verticals.
• Able to repair centrifugal compressors, steam turbines, screw chillers, and ammonia/hydrocarbon system components.
• Must be a member or willing to join the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipe Fitting Industry of the United States and Canada, AFL-CIO.
• EPA refrigerants license, applicable state/local licensing, and valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, repair and replacement services on commercial heating and cooling systems.
• Provide customers with solutions and outcomes at commissioning and aftermarket service.
• Provide quotes to support recommendations and solutions.
• Travel may be required 10–20% to support branch activities and customer needs.
