Job summary

Johnson Controls International plc. seeks skilled HVAC Mechanics with extensive field experience in commercial mechanical systems. The role focuses on installing, inspecting, repairing, and maintaining HVAC equipment, including chillers, rooftop units, pumps, and piping.

You will work in a union environment with strong emphasis on safety and customer service. Fans and compressors experience, along with the ability to read schematics and provide accurate quotes, is essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of eight (8) years commercial/industrial mechanical troubleshooting experience in HVAC or related sectors.
• Able to repair centrifugal compressors, steam turbines, screw chillers and ammonia/hydrocarbon components.
• Maintain ammonia and hydrocarbon safety training certification.
• Able to install complete systems (Chillers, Rooftop Units, plumbing and all supporting mechanical systems).

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, repair and replacement services on commercial heating and cooling systems.
• Provide quotes to customers and support recommendations and solutions.
• Explain issues, causes, and corrective actions to customers clearly.
• Work with local market mechanics and apprentices; provide on-the-job training when needed.
