Job summary

Johnson Controls Inc. is seeking seasoned HVAC Mechanics to support its growing North American operations. You will work on light and heavy commercial systems, repairing condensers, chillers, boilers, and ammonia/hydrocarbon equipment, in collaboration with journey-level technicians.

You will train on-site teams, prioritize safety, and provide detailed quotes while traveling extensively to customer sites across regions. A strong background in HVAC and licenses is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8 years commercial/industrial mechanical troubleshooting in HVAC.
• Experience with rooftop units, pumps, fans, towers, boilers, chillers and compressors.
• Ability to repair ammonia/hydrocarbon systems and obtain related licenses.
• Maintain ammonia/hydrocarbon safety training certification.
• Valid driver’s license and EPA refrigerants license eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Provide maintenance, repair, and replacement services on commercial HVAC systems.
• Troubleshoot, install, and repair rooftop units, pumps, fans, towers, boilers, chillers, and plumbing.
• Work with journeymen and apprentices to train on-site service teams.
• Deliver quotes and ensure high-quality customer service.
• Travel 50%–75% to support branch customers and projects.
