Job summary

Johnson Controls Inc. is seeking skilled HVAC Mechanics to support the North America HVAC service portfolio.

You will perform maintenance, repair and installation tasks on light commercial and large commercial systems, including rooftop units, pumps, fans, boilers, chillers and related equipment. Travel up to 20% to support branch customers, work with Journeymen and Servicemen, and obtain EPA refrigerants licenses and local licensing.

Qualifications

• Must be a member or willing to join the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipe Fitting Industry of the United States and Canada, AFL-CIO.
• Three or more years of commercial/industrial HVAC troubleshooting experience.
• Experience with rooftop units, pumps, fans, towers, boilers, chillers, compressors, and plumbing.
• Mechanical shaft alignment using dial indicators and vibration equipment for driveline troubleshooting.
• Valid driver's license and EPA refrigerants license; applicable state or local licensing.
• Willingness to travel 10%–20% to support branch activities.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance, repair and replacement services on commercial heating and cooling systems.
• Provide quotes to customers and support recommendations to ensure facility efficiency.
• Work with local market mechanics and Servicemen on projects and aftersales service.
• Maintain safety standards and professional communication with customers.
