Job summary

TechDigital Group is seeking a hands-on Server & Network Technician to support data centre operations in our California facility. You will assist with server rack & cabling, perform firmware updates, and coordinate hardware replacements under guidance from network and sys admins.

The ideal candidate has practical experience in data centre hardware, understands iLO/IDRAC, and can work with Windows or Linux systems to support server readiness and network connectivity.

Qualifications

• Hands-on data centre experience: rack/stack, cabling, iLO/IDRAC config, RAM/CPU replacement.
• Basic Windows or Linux OS administration knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with network admins to resolve server issues, including cable replacement or re-routing.
• Rack, stack, and cable servers or switches to enable remote access for config/validation.
• Provide hands-on support to network admins for ad hoc server or switch requests.
• Coordinate procurement of replacement components, install parts, and return defective hardware.
• Perform server cabling per wiring diagrams and validate connectivity with admins.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot server issues to identify root causes with remote admins.
• Perform server firmware upgrades and configure IP addresses and credentials per procedures.
• Conduct physical inspections and audits of servers, components, inventory accuracy.
