Job summary

Amazon Data Services, Inc. is seeking a Generator Service Technician to manage electrical generator systems and related engine issues in AWS data centers. You will contribute to uptime, safety, and reliability while delivering strong customer service across sites in Virginia.

The role requires travel between data centers, flexible shifts up to 12 hours, and collaboration with vendors and internal teams. Prior data center experience is preferred, with safety first in every task.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of electrical or mechanical experience or data center facilities experience.
• Flexibility to work weekends, nights, and holidays as needed.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and applications.

Responsibilities

• Daily rounds to monitor electrical, mechanical, and life safety systems for reliability.
• Troubleshoot facility and rack-level events within SLAs.
• Perform PM, repair, and root-cause analysis of equipment.
• Provide on-site support to contractors and vendors per procedures.
• Communicate with customers and document work for change management.
