Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Data Center Engineering Technician to maintain and troubleshoot mission-critical facilities equipment, including standby generators, 3-phase electrical systems, UPS, PDUs, and cooling systems. You will work across multiple DC sites, perform PMs, and support change management with technical documentation.

The role requires traveling between data center locations, willingness to relocate within reasonable distances, and the ability to work up to 12-hour shifts.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of electrical and mechanical facilities maintenance experience.
• 2+ years of Microsoft Office experience.
• Willing to work a flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Daily building rounds to monitor electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment for 24/7 reliability.
• Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management System (EPMS).
• Assist in troubleshooting facility and rack-level events within internal SLAs.
• Perform rack installs and decommissioning within internal SLA.
• Perform PM, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment.
• Create technical write-ups to support change management programs.
• Manage daily work requests and drive projects from conception to completion.
• Provide on-site support of contractors, subcontractors, and vendors per procedures and local laws.
• Support multiple locations/sites and potential travel.
